Course Pacing
The mini-course takes approximately three hours, and you can divide that time in the way that works for you. Do one step a day during the week, or gather the steps into a small weekend retreat if that better suits your schedule. It’s really up to you.

Who is The Self-Edit Reset for?
Self-Edit Reset is for creative writers who have drafts that feel difficult to enter, overworked, scattered, or stalled. It is especially suited to writers who know a piece needs attention but are unsure which editing move would help.
The aim is to help you see the piece clearly enough to return to it with purpose.
When does the course start and end?
The course session starts when you’re ready. You can work on it at your own pace, but complete your Self-Edit Map in two weeks in order to get my feedback.
What writing do I need to have prepared?
Bring one draft of creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, or mixed-genre writing. It can be a short piece or a book-length project such as a novel, memoir, or collection. Choose a piece you care about and want help seeing more clearly before your next edit.
Will you provide feedback on my writing?
I won’t provide line-by-line feedback or a full critique of your draft. My personalized response will focus on your completed Self-Edit Map, including what you have noticed and the editing direction you have chosen. The program is designed to help you read your own work more clearly and decide what to do next with self-confidence.
