June 2020, Alumni Workshop Invitation

As a course alumnus, I have a special invitation for you to workshop your writing in June.

Dedicate a month to reconnecting to your writing and your writing community.

Workshop Details: I will assign you to a workshop group based on the best fit for you. (Note writers generally submit up to 5000 words or eight pages of poems.) Once assigned, you’ll join a private channel on Slack where you’ll all be able to post your writing and your responses to the writing of your peers.

The workshop is structured—as you probably would expect since you know how I teach—and there will be deadlines and guidelines to hold you all accountable to one another.

You’ll Also Get a Live 1.5 Hour Workshop All About Workshops 😂

On Sunday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m . Eastern, I will hold a live session all about workshops. In the live workshop session, you can expect:

  • 1.5 hours live workshop-workshop (!)
    Workshop practice
  • My “Field Notes” on best workshop practices
  • Guidelines for our workshop this month
  • A chance to meet members of your group
  • Q&A!

It is not mandatory to attend and there will be a replay video for you to watch after the session.

Registration Options

The June workshop costs $97 (register here)

You may also choose to join the Writerly Love program ($49/month or $75/month). Membership includes monthly programming, like this month’s workshop. For example, next month our lesson and workshop will be on email newsletters and list building for writers.

If you’d like to get the accountability and support that comes with having a deadline and a chance to work on your craft with our warm writing community, I’d love to have you join us.
